After New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles, the traveling event created by fashion magazine Vogue made its Italian debut on September 22, taking over Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for an edition celebrating Made in Italy, craftsmanship and contemporary know-how.
This edition was structured around a five-act journey tracing major revolutions in Italian fashion, from craftsmanship and industrial production to the links between technology, innovation and creative work.
Among the models taking part were Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Eva Herzigová, Mariacarla Boscono and Alex Consani, but Imaan Hammam was the standout. Wearing an iconic Versace jumpsuit from the Spring-Summer 2018 collection, covered entirely in crystals, Hammam brought one of the most spectacular sides of Italian fashion to the runway. It was another major milestone for the model, who has appeared on the cover of Vogue 27 times around the world.
Born in Amsterdam in 1996 to an Egyptian father from Cairo and a Moroccan mother from Zagora, the “Vogue girl” has made her North African roots an important part of her public image. She regularly returns to Morocco for photo shoots and often makes a point of showing her support for the Atlas Lions, rarely missing their matches during major international competitions.

Her passion for Moroccan football has even been linked by some to a budding romance between the model and Atlas Lions captain Achraf Hakimi, with whom she previously shared the cover of Vogue Arabia.
