This weekend, Ciconia restaurant, perched above the Bouregreg Valley at the Chellah site, had the surprise of welcoming Theo James, the star of Guy Ritchie’s series, who stopped by for a break between takes.

The restaurant shared the moment on Instagram, along with a photo. “A lovely surprise that made our day. Today, Ciconia had the pleasure of welcoming Theo James, who is currently in Morocco filming season 3 of The Gentlemen in Rabat!” the Rabat-based restaurant announced. The news quickly spread across social media, with several users saying they had spotted the actor in the capital that same day.

Filming for the third season officially began on September 13 in Rabat, before moving to Erfoud, on the edge of the desert, in the Drâa-Tafilalet region. Theo James reprises his role as Eddie Horniman, the British aristocrat who finds himself drawn into the criminal empire he inherited from his father. He is joined by Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, Daniel Ings as Freddy Horniman, and Ray Winstone as Bobby Glass.

The new eight-episode season, confirmed by Netflix in late August, arrives just days after season 2 was released on September 3. No release date has yet been announced for the third chapter, which is not expected to arrive before 2028.
