Binance has traced a $6.3 billion cryptocurrency theft to a months-long cyberattack that began with a tampered software download and later used fake job interviews to compromise employees’ computers. The attackers eventually gained access to the exchange’s wallet infrastructure through the devices of three software engineers, according to an initial security report released on November 3.
