The second day of the Marrakech Air Show 2026 saw five industrial agreements signed between Morocco and national and international companies, with the partnerships expected to create 950 direct jobs and strengthen the country’s capabilities across several key industrial activities.

The agreements were signed on Thursday, October 8, during the eighth edition of the Marrakech Air Show, held from October 7 to 10. They involve leading players in the global aerospace industry and are intended to support the continued development of Morocco’s aviation sector.

The first agreement is a memorandum of understanding signed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) and Mecapole Aerospace and Defense. It focuses on developing Morocco’s capacity to manufacture precision-machined aerospace components for aircraft and helicopters.

The project represents a €10 million investment and is expected to create 80 direct jobs. According to the signatories, it will expand high-value-added industrial activities while further diversifying the expertise available within Morocco’s aerospace ecosystem.

Matis Aerospace to create 750 jobs

The second MOU was signed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, AMDIE and Matis Aerospace. It provides for the development of an industrial facility dedicated to manufacturing aircraft electrical wiring.

The project represents a $16.5 million investment and is expected to create 750 direct jobs by 2030.

The third agreement was signed by the ministry, AMDIE and Autolubrification Produits de Synthèse (APS Coating). It provides for the establishment of an aerospace parts surface-treatment facility, representing an €18 million investment and 120 direct jobs.

According to the signatories, surface treatment is an essential part of the aerospace value chain, particularly for protecting, finishing and improving the performance of components.

The fourth agreement was signed by AMDIE, the Moroccan Aerospace and Space Industries Association (GIMAS) and Korea Aerospace Industries. The MOU establishes a framework for exploring new opportunities for industrial cooperation in Morocco’s aerospace sector.

It is expected to open opportunities for industrial partnerships, supplier development and the identification of future investment projects.

The fifth agreement brings together three companies, ND Defense of the United States, Morocco’s MZ Automotive and Poland’s Demarko. The partnership aims to develop industrial opportunities in defense mobility, the integration of specialized vehicles and logistics solutions for heavy equipment.
