The launch of a call for expressions of interest for an electricity interconnection linking Europe and North Africa marks a new chapter in the economic partnership between Rabat and Paris. Speaking at the 15th Morocco-France High-Level Meeting, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu placed energy infrastructure at the heart of a partnership set to “change scale,” tying it to a broader strategy of industrial integration, investment and cooperation across Africa.
