The DAP shipment fulfills a commitment made in Bamako in July and targets a sector that accounts for up to 40% of Mali’s economy and employs around 80% of its workforce.

On the instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Mohammed VI Vocational Training Center was handed over to the Malian authorities on Friday, July 24, 2026. Located in Bamako, the center offers training opportunities for 1,000 young people each year across 21 fields, including construction and public works, tourism, hospitality and catering. Opened in July 2022 in Bamako’s Sébénikoro district, the Mohammed VI Perinatal Clinic provides specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and follows children’s health through the age of five. As Mali’s only public hospital dedicated exclusively to maternal and child health, the facility has become a key referral center while expanding access to specialized care.

The fourth session of the Mali-Morocco Joint Commission in Bamako gave both sides an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive review of the state of their bilateral cooperation across sectors of mutual benefit.
