The Royal Moroccan Air Force (FRA) received its first Extra 300 LX aerobatic aircraft on Tuesday, September 22. The planes will equip the “Al Massira Al Khadra” aerobatic team and be used to train pilots, with their first official appearance scheduled for early October at the Marrakech Air Show.
The aircraft arrived in two versions, a single-seater and a two-seater, with the latter intended for pilot training. They are set to become the official aircraft of the “Al Massira Al Khadra” aerobatic team.
Their official presentation is scheduled for October during the Marrakech Air Show, according to the Far-Maroc Forum. The FRA is expected to receive 12 Extra 300 LX aircraft in total, including two two-seaters reserved for training. The aircraft will carry registration numbers beginning with CN-BE.
The Extra 300 LX is a high-performance single-engine aerobatic aircraft designed by German manufacturer Extra Aircraft (Extra Flugzeugbau), founded by aerobatic pilot Walter Extra. The aircraft belongs to the Extra 300 family, a line of aerobatic aircraft developed since the late 1980s that has become a global reference in the discipline.

Its structure combines a tubular steel fuselage with composite wings and a Lycoming piston engine. This powerplant allows the aircraft to withstand extreme load factors. Its light weight, engine power and large control surfaces give it a high level of maneuverability.
