Morocco international Anass Salah-Eddine has asked Olympiacos for additional time before deciding whether to join the Greek champions, as he weighs competing options for his future, Le360 Sport has learned.
According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the left-back has requested a short period of reflection before giving Olympiacos a definitive answer regarding a potential move to Greece.
The delay is linked to interest from a Spanish club, which is also pursuing the defender. Salah-Eddine wants to assess all available options before making a final decision on the next step in his career.
Le360 Sport previously reported that Olympiacos had intensified efforts to sign the Moroccan international, with the player holding discussions with compatriot Ayoub El Kaabi as well as head coach José Luis Mendilibar.
During those conversations, both outlined the club’s sporting project and ambitions for the coming seasons in an effort to convince Salah-Eddine to move to Piraeus.
The Greek club is still waiting to complete the departure of left-back Francisco Ortega to River Plate, a move that would free up space for Salah-Eddine’s arrival.
