Morocco’s U20 national team will face Algeria in the semifinals of the football tournament at the 20th Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026, being held in Italy.
Morocco secured their place in the last four after finishing second in Group A with four points, sealing qualification with a 5-1 victory over North Macedonia in their third and final group-stage match.
The Moroccan team began the tournament with a 2-2 draw against Türkiye before losing 1-0 to Tunisia. Their emphatic win over North Macedonia in the final group match secured their place in the semifinals.
Morocco now face Algeria, who topped Group B with nine points after winning all three of their group-stage matches.
The two teams will meet on Friday, August 28, at the Iacovone Stadium in Taranto, Italy, with Morocco looking to secure a place in the final.
