Manchester City’s pursuit of Ayyoub Bouaddi has gathered pace in recent days, with the Citizens pushing to complete a deal for the highly rated Moroccan midfielder.
The 18-year-old Lille player enhanced his growing reputation with Morocco during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attracting strong interest from the English club.
Just weeks ago, Lille president Olivier Létang sought to end speculation surrounding Bouaddi’s future, insisting the teenager would remain with the French side.
According to Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, however, the situation has changed significantly.
“Negotiations for Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City are moving to the final stages, deal very close between clubs,” Romano reported.
He added that discussions with the player are ongoing.
Manchester City are also believed to have submitted an offer that could reach €100 million.
