Yassine Hssine finished seventh in his 200m semifinal at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest on Sunday, September 13, clocking 20.37 seconds.
South Africa’s Sinesipho Dambile won the race in 19.80 seconds, followed by Canada’s Andre De Grasse in 19.87 and Jamaica’s Bryan Levell in 20.08.
Hssine, the first Moroccan to break the 20-second barrier and the national record holder, finished 11th overall.
This was the Moroccan sprint prospect’s first experience competing at such a high level.
