Morocco’s High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) has published a new guide explaining the rules governing political coverage on radio and television ahead of the country’s legislative elections on September 23, introducing new provisions on artificial intelligence and election-related disinformation.

In the first episode of Le360’s special interview series on the country’s upcoming legislative elections, Salah-Eddine Abkari, president of the youth wing of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), discusses the party’s efforts to promote young candidates, its strategy for the 2026 vote, and the debate surrounding the appointments of Faouzi Lekjaa and El Khattat Yanja to its Political Bureau.

Fatima-Zahra El Mansouri, national coordinator of the Authenticity and Modernity Party’s (PAM) collective leadership, announced on Saturday that Budget Minister Delegate Fouzi Lekjaa and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Regional Council President Yanja El Khattat had officially joined the party. The announcement was made during the 32nd session of the PAM National Council at the Palais des Congrès in Salé.

The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) opened the 33rd session of its National Council on Saturday in Salé. The meeting was attended by Budget Minister Delegate Fouzi Lekjaa, whose presence has reignited speculation that he could be preparing to join the party.

Two months before Morocco’s legislative elections, the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) has begun training 1,000 observers, 40% of them women, to independently monitor the vote. Speaking to Le360, CNDH President Amina Bouayach outlined the nationwide deployment, while also discussing the institution’s new partnerships and upcoming international commitments.

Morocco on Monday activated the Central Election Monitoring Commission and its regional and provincial counterparts as part of preparations for the legislative elections scheduled for Sept. 23, 2026, following high instructions from King Mohammed VI to the Minister of the Interior and the Public Prosecutor.
