Artists, labels, consultants and festival organizers from Morocco, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States gathered at Dar Souiri for the Essaouira Dance Summit, the first professional component of the MOGA Festival’s 10th anniversary edition. Discussions focused on a central challenge: turning electronic music from an activity largely built around events into a structured professional sector. Visa restrictions, limited networks and institutional recognition remain major obstacles.
