Born out of the Ferraz protests and fueled by former members of neo-Nazi organizations, Falangist movements, and ultra-right groups, Núcleo Nacional has, in barely two years, evolved from a street movement—whose leaders concealed their identities behind balaclavas—into a political party preparing to contest Spain’s general elections. Its platform makes no attempt to conceal its belief in racial supremacy, its hostility toward Moroccans and Muslims, or its rejection of Spanish democracy.
