Morocco’s travel receipts reached MAD 64.89 billion at the end of the first six months of 2026, up 15.9% from the same period in 2025, according to the Foreign Exchange Office.

In its latest monthly report on foreign trade indicators, the Foreign Exchange Office said travel expenditures increased by 3.6% to MAD 16.09 billion.

As a result, the travel balance posted a surplus of MAD 48.8 billion, up 20.6% compared with June 2025.

The Office also reported that remittances from Moroccans living abroad rose by 9.9% to MAD 61.48 billion.

Net foreign direct investment inflows into Morocco increased by 31.5% to MAD 26.161 billion.

Meanwhile, net Moroccan direct investment abroad remained positive at MAD 5.711 billion.
