Brahim Diaz has joined the Atlas Lions camp despite continuing to deal with persistent muscle pain, with the Morocco international included in the squad for the national team’s next two fixtures.
Diaz is going through a difficult period with Real Madrid, having played only a few minutes across the club’s last three matches, including a brief appearance against Elche in a 3-2 win. The Morocco international has also been dealing with muscle pain for several games.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Diaz has been suffering from significant muscle pain over the past few matches. The No. 21 is reportedly still feeling the effects of the match against Inter Milan but continues to do everything possible to remain available to his team.

“This started several matches ago and has not eased since,” the Spanish outlet reported, stressing that the situation has been affecting the player’s day-to-day life.
Despite the discomfort, Diaz wants to continue his efforts and remain involved with the team. “He wants the team to remain united. He is aware of the need to act as one at the beginning of a project like Mourinho’s. And the Portuguese coach is aware of this effort,” the report added.
The situation comes as Diaz was included in the list of 29 players called up by Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi for the Atlas Lions’ September camp.
