Morocco’s U17 women’s national team will play the match for the bronze medal in the football tournament at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto on Monday, August 31.
The Atlas Lionesses finished third at the end of the group stage, which concluded on Saturday, August 29, with seven points from two wins and one draw in four matches. The result keeps the Moroccan players in contention for a place on the podium.
Morocco will play the bronze medal match against Slovenia at 9:30 a.m. Moroccan time at the Franco Fanuzzi Stadium in Brindisi. Slovenia finished fourth with two points after drawing 1-1 with Kosovo on the final matchday, while Kosovo ended the group with one point.
Meanwhile, Portugal and Italy, who finished in the top two places, will meet in the final for the gold medal on Monday at the Iacovone Stadium in Taranto.
