Hot to very hot weather is expected across Morocco’s southern provinces, the southeast, and several inland regions on Wednesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.
The highest temperatures are forecast in the Sahara, the southeastern regions, the northern and central inland plains, the Saïss, Oulmès, and the interior of Souss.
Low clouds are expected to develop during the morning and overnight along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, bringing patches of fog and local drizzle.
Moderate to occasionally strong wind gusts are forecast for the southern provinces, Souss, the Anti-Atlas, and the southern High Atlas, with blowing dust expected in parts of the Sahara.
Minimum temperatures will range between 12°C and 18°C in the Atlas Mountains; 25°C to 32°C across the plains west of the Atlas, Chiadma, Souss, the Phosphate Plateaus, the Tadla Plain, Rehamna, and the southeast and inland areas of the southern provinces; and 18°C to 25°C elsewhere.
Daytime highs are expected to rise slightly in the Oriental region, along the western Mediterranean coast and in the southern provinces, while remaining largely unchanged across the rest of the country.
Sea conditions will be calm in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, calm to slight north of Boujdour, and slight to moderate elsewhere along the Atlantic coast.
