The government has announced another round of financial assistance for road transport operators after diesel prices rose by as much as Dh1 per liter at some filling stations at the start of November.
The fresh support will cover a 15-day period, with applications opening on Tuesday, Nov 10, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics said.
Passenger and freight transport operators eligible for the assistance will be able to submit their applications through the ministry’s Mouakaba platform.
The announcement follows the latest revision in fuel prices on Nov 1, which pushed diesel close to Dh17 per liter at some service stations.

The increase has added to operating costs for transporters, whose vehicles rely heavily on diesel. Petrol prices, however, moved in the opposite direction, falling by between 10 and 30 centimes per liter depending on the distributor.
