Following the official announcement of his arrival earlier in the day, Ayyoub Bouaddi joined Manchester City’s squad for his first training session on Wednesday.

The young Moroccan midfielder was welcomed by his new teammates before taking part in his first session with the club.

Bouaddi has signed a five-year contract with Manchester City, keeping him at the club until June 2031. The 18-year-old will wear the No. 32 shirt.

The transfer also makes Bouaddi the most expensive player to leave Ligue 1 for a foreign club. The previous record was held by Neymar, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Saudi club Al-Hilal for €90 million.

At just 18, Bouaddi also becomes the most expensive Moroccan player in history, surpassing Achraf Hakimi, whose 2021 move from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain was worth €68 million.
