Casablanca is set to host the 17th edition of the Casablanca Marathon on October 25, 2026. This major sporting event will carry the slogan “Vibe Casa.”

According to a statement from the Grand Casablanca Runners Association (ACGC), the event will feature three races, offering an experience that extends beyond mere competition. It aims to infuse the city and its residents with the marathon atmosphere, well beyond the finish line.

The association stated its ambition “to establish the Casablanca Marathon as a major sporting and public event that reflects a vibrant, open, and multicultural city, while gradually strengthening its position among the leading running events in Morocco, Africa, and internationally.”

The “Vibe Casa” slogan, the statement added, draws its spirit from Casablanca itself, with its inherent energy, movement, and diversity.

“On October 25, the city’s streets will become an open space for sport and celebration,” the association announced. The route will pass by some of the economic capital’s most prominent landmarks, combining its urban heritage, major thoroughfares, and coastal waterfront.

The race will be accompanied by concerts and entertainment activities, adding a distinctive rhythm to different stages of the event.

Bouchta El Fadel, president of the Greater Casablanca Runners Association, emphasized: “Our ambition is to make the Casablanca Marathon a major event in the life of the city, bringing sporting competition together with Casablanca’s energy and identity. Through the Vibe Casa slogan, we seek to unite everyone around a shared experience, offering an opportunity to discover the economic capital from a different perspective and showcase its energy and vitality beyond the finish line.”

The program includes three races: the 42.195-kilometer marathon, the 21.097-kilometer half-marathon, and a 4 × 10.5-kilometer relay race. This variety allows participants to choose based on their level and objective, or simply to share the experience as part of a team.

During the week leading up to the race, the Marathon Village will continue this dynamic with a program featuring entertainment activities, meetings, and areas dedicated to partners, alongside activities open to athletes, families, and the general public.

The 17th edition, which has received Elite status from World Athletics, aims to elevate the event to a new level while seeking to set a new participation record. It will also feature some of Morocco’s leading runners alongside top-level international athletes.
