The Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE) announced that Casablanca will host the 2026 FIFAe Continental Championship Africa from August 27 to 29 at the Sacré-Cœur Cathedral.

Organized in partnership with FIFA, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the city of Casablanca, and the African Confederation of Esports (ACES), the competition will bring together 13 African nations across three disciplines.

Morocco is one of five countries selected to host the 2026 FIFAe Continental Championships, alongside Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, and Portugal.

The tournaments will be held across five continents between August and September and represent the final continental stages of the “Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026,” a global qualification pathway that has brought together more than 120 nations.

In Casablanca, eight nations will compete in each of the three disciplines on the program. The competition begins Thursday, August 27, with eFootball Mobile, followed by eFootball Console on Friday, August 28, and Rocket League on Saturday, August 29.

Beyond the continental title, the main objective for the participants is to secure a spot in the FIFAe World Cup 2026. In each discipline, the two nations that reach the finals will earn a place at the global tournament.

Bringing the competition to Casablanca is part of Morocco’s efforts to develop its electronic gaming sector and host major international esports events.

Through this tournament, the FRMJE aims to further professionalize the discipline, support emerging talent, and contribute to the development and organization of esports across Africa alongside ACES.

The FIFAe Continental Championship Africa 2026 will conclude on Saturday, August 29, with the grand final and closing ceremony scheduled for 10 p.m. at the Sacré-coeur Cathedral in Casablanca.
