The latest FIFA futsal rankings, updated Friday, September 25, see Morocco’s men retain sixth place, while the women’s team drops two places to 26th but remains comfortably at the top of the African standings.

Morocco’s men have 1,497.3 points and are behind only Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Argentina and Iran. Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and France complete the global top 10.

Despite gaining 10.77 points since the previous ranking published on May 8, Morocco remains sixth in an unchanged top 10.

The next major challenge for Hicham Dguig’s side will be the 2026 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host from October 12 to 21.

Morocco’s women, meanwhile, have dropped two places after losing 14.36 points and now sit 26th worldwide with 987.04 points.

They nevertheless remain well clear at the top of the CAF rankings, with second-placed Tanzania ranked 73rd globally and Senegal, in third, sitting 81st.

Brazil remain at the top of the global rankings, ahead of Spain and Portugal, with the three countries continuing to dominate the men’s and women’s standings.
