Romano reported on Tuesday, June 30, that the Premier League club have opened talks to sign the Lille midfielder.
A total of four clubs are reportedly in the race for Bouaddi. Paris Saint-Germain, however, have yet to make an offer as the French champions are focused on other priorities, according to the same source.
Manchester City are considering signing the Moroccan midfielder before immediately loaning him back to Lille until the start of the 2027-28 season.
According to Transfermarkt, Bouaddi has an estimated market value of €50 million. He remains under contract with his boyhood club until June 30, 2029.
A key figure in this fearless generation of Atlas Lions, which continues to prove that Morocco’s historic run at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar was no fluke, Bouaddi has delivered a string of impressive performances since the start of the tournament.
Effective in transition, sharp at winning the ball back and elegant in possession, the midfielder appears to have taken his game to another level.
