Morocco’s tennis team secured a place in the Davis Cup World Group I playoffs on Sunday in Rabat after winning the first three ties of its clash with Nigeria.
Morocco sealed qualification after the doubles pair of Younès El Alami Laroussi and Walid Ahouda defeated Nigeria’s Michael Emmanuel and Yusuf Abubakar, giving the hosts an unassailable 3-0 lead and securing their place in the playoffs before the final two singles matches.
The national team had taken a strong position on Saturday by winning the opening two singles matches through Karim Bennani and Yassine Dlimi.
