Morocco’s futsal team faces Zambia on Wednesday, October 14, at 20:00 at the Moulay Abdellah indoor arena in Rabat, in the second matchday of the 2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations.

Both teams began the tournament with wins. Zambia defeated Libya 3-1, while the Atlas Lions beat Algeria 4-0, with Youssef Jouad scoring a hat trick. With a better goal difference, Morocco will look to retain first place in Group A after Wednesday’s encounter.

The day’s second matchday gets underway at 17:00, when Algeria face Libya at the same venue.

Zambia, known as the Chipolopolo, are competing in their fourth Africa Futsal Cup of Nations. Their best result was fourth place in 2016 in South Africa. They now face Morocco, the three-time defending champions, who are targeting a fourth continental title that would make them the competition’s outright record holders in its eighth edition.

Ahead of the match, the Atlas Lions held a light indoor training session on Tuesday focused on recovery and loosening up. In the opening game against Algeria, coach Hicham Dguig gave all his players playing time to help them settle into the continental tournament.

The Morocco-Zambia match will be broadcast on Arryadia TNT, the SNRT group’s third channel, and on the Confederation of African Football’s YouTube channel, with kickoff at 20:00.
