According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Morocco international has emerged as one of Roma’s top attacking targets for the summer transfer window. The Serie A club has already opened negotiations with Real Betis to secure the services of the Moroccan winger.
Roma is reportedly preparing an offer worth €55 million plus €5 million in bonuses, bringing the total package close to the player’s €60 million release clause.

FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the deal, as it retains a 20% sell-on clause for the Morocco international. Should the transfer to Roma materialize, the Catalan club would receive approximately €11 million from the deal.
Under contract with Real Betis until 2029, Ezzalzouli is coming off an impressive campaign with the Andalusian side. The Atlas Lion recorded 14 goals and 14 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions; performances that have attracted interest from several clubs.
In recent weeks, Ezzalzouli has also been linked with Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and several Saudi clubs. While Villa’s interest is believed to have cooled following the arrival of Alejandro Garnacho, Newcastle reportedly remains in the race for his signature.
The transfer window is therefore expected to be a busy one for the Moroccan winger, who missed the 2026 FIFA World Cup after suffering a knee injury during Morocco’s final warm-up match against Norway.
