The Wimbledon men’s singles semifinals came to an end on Friday, with Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev booking their places in this year’s final.
The first match on Centre Court saw world No. 3 Zverev bring Arthur Fery’s dream run to an end with a 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory. The British wildcard put up a fight in the opening set, but the German took control after winning the tiebreak and never looked back.
Zverev, who is through to his first Wimbledon final, will now have the chance to claim his second Grand Slam title.
Later in the day, world No. 1 Sinner produced an impressive display to defeat seven-time champion Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the match many had expected to be the highlight of the semifinals.
The Italian dominated from start to finish, breaking Djokovic once in each set and denying the Serbian a chance to reach another Wimbledon final.
The victory sends Sinner into his second final at the All England Club and keeps alive his hopes of adding a fifth Grand Slam title to his collection.
Sunday’s final will mark the second Grand Slam title match between Sinner and Zverev. The two players previously met in the 2025 Australian Open final, where Sinner prevailed in straight sets to lift the trophy.
