Coco Gauff vs. Karolina Muchova (1:30 p.m., Centre Court)
World No. 7 Coco Gauff continues her bid for a third Grand Slam title after overcoming fellow American Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. It marked her fourth consecutive three-set victory at Wimbledon and the second in which she recovered after losing the opening set.
Gauff arrived in London with little momentum on grass, having lost four straight matches on the surface dating back to last season. Wimbledon had also been her least successful Grand Slam, with the American never progressing beyond the fourth round before this year.
Her run has included hard-fought wins over Solana Sierra, Claire Liu and Belinda Bencic, and she now finds herself one victory away from a maiden Wimbledon final.
Standing in her way is world No. 9 Karolina Muchova, who has also reached her first semifinal at the All England Club. The Czech has built impressive form on grass, extending her winning streak on the surface to nine matches.
Muchova reached the last four after straight-set wins over Anastasia Zakharova, Zhang Shuai and Mananchaya Sawangkaew before overcoming 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova in three sets and defeating Naomi Osaka in a tight contest.
Gauff leads the head-to-head 6-1, including victories at the Australian Open and the Miami Open earlier this season. However, Muchova won their most recent meeting on clay in Stuttgart, while Thursday’s clash will be their first on grass.
Marta Kostyuk vs. Linda Noskova (3 p.m., Centre Court)
The second semifinal features two players making their deepest Wimbledon runs.
World No. 13 Marta Kostyuk advanced after a convincing 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jasmine Paolini. The Ukrainian has now reached consecutive Grand Slam semifinals after also making the last four at Roland Garros.
Her season has been a remarkable turnaround after an ankle injury at the Australian Open disrupted the opening months of the year. Since early April, Kostyuk has won 22 of her last 23 matches, capturing titles in Rouen and Madrid.
Linda Noskova, ranked No. 12, secured her maiden Grand Slam semifinal by defeating Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-5. The Czech also survived three-set battles against Camila Osorio and Sorana Cirstea before edging Madison Keys in the fourth round.
Although she endured an inconsistent start to the season, Noskova has shown steady progress in recent months and continues to establish herself among the tour’s top players.
The pair have met only once before, with Kostyuk winning in straight sets in the Madrid quarterfinals earlier this year. With limited head-to-head history and both players enjoying excellent form, another closely contested semifinal is expected.
