FIFA has named Jalal Jayed as the fourth official and Zakaria Brinsi as the reserve assistant referee for the 2026 World Cup third-place match.

The match will feature France against England on Saturday, July 18, at 10 p.m. Moroccan time at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

Venezuelan referee Jesús Valenzuela will officiate the game, assisted by his fellow countrymen Jorge Urrego and Tulio Moreno.

Jayed is the last remaining African central referee involved in the tournament since the semifinal stage. He has officiated four matches during this World Cup.

He refereed the group-stage encounters between Germany and Curaçao and Portugal and Uzbekistan before being appointed as the fourth official for the round-of-32 clash between Germany and Paraguay and the round-of-16 match between Mexico and Norway.

The 39-year-old official had previously worked at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The 2026 edition marks his first senior World Cup appearance.
