The 2027 Finance Bill provides an update on hospital construction and renovation projects across Morocco’s 12 regions. Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat is 90% complete and Laayoune’s university hospital has reached 96%, while projects in Beni Mellal and Errachidia are entering the construction phase.

Morocco’s draft 2027 Finance Bill raises the ceiling for advance defense spending commitments to 190.5 billion dirhams, up from 157 billion in 2026. Personnel costs are set to rise by 5%, while funding for the special-purpose defense account remains broadly unchanged.

The proposed budget includes MAD 800 million for investment and comes as the council enters the final year of its current term.

Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch sent a budget circular to members of his government on Wednesday, August 5, outlining the main priorities of the 2027 Finance Bill (PLF). The budget exercise comes as Morocco continues to implement ongoing reforms while entering a unique political context, with legislative elections scheduled for September 23.
