As the rainy season approaches, the Casablanca-Settat Regional Multi-Services Company (SRM) has begun implementing a preventive plan to reduce the risk of urban flooding. Technical teams have launched a large-scale campaign to clear, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on the stormwater drainage network, ensuring the efficient evacuation of runoff. The SRM is also stepping up monitoring of sensitive locations identified as being at risk of rainwater accumulation or hydraulic system failures.
