The agreement was signed late last week by Abdellatif Maazouz, president of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, and Mehdi Tazi, CGEM president.
The initiative also aims to stimulate sectoral ecosystems across the region, in line with the strategic priorities of the 2022-2027 Regional Development Program, which positions Casablanca-Settat as a driving force in Morocco’s national economy.
The lab will be based in the Sidi Belyout district of Casablanca, the country’s economic capital, in a built-up area covering approximately 9,000 square meters.

It is designed as an integrated platform for developing skills and added value, supporting professional federations, and attracting innovative solutions for local deployment.
The agreement establishes the operational framework for the partnership, including the financial and logistical support that the Regional Council will provide to fund the lab’s programs and ensure its launch on the ground.
At the operational level, the lab will offer specialized training programs in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. It will also provide technical support to young innovators and connect local stakeholders with global innovation networks through dedicated sectoral centers.
