The sixth edition of the Nomads Festival “Majal Beni Guil” opened in Tendrara on Tuesday, July 21, bringing together cultural, artistic, and heritage activities aimed at preserving the traditions of the Beni Guil region while promoting local development.

To mark the 40th anniversary of New York’s iconic SummerStage Festival, Morocco became the first Arab and African country to be invited to the event. More than a symbolic milestone, the “Morocco: From Dakhla to Casablanca” showcase marked a strategic breakthrough for the country’s music scene in the U.S. market.

Morocco made history at New York City’s iconic SummerStage Festival on Wednesday, July 15, becoming the first Arab and African country to receive a program dedicated entirely to its music. The event in Central Park highlighted the country’s rich musical heritage and contemporary sounds before an international audience.

Held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, the 25th National Ahidous Festival will take place from July 23 to 25, 2026, in Ain Leuh, Ifrane Province. Organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Thaymat Association for Atlas Arts, and local partners, the festival aims to celebrate and preserve one of Morocco’s most emblematic Amazigh performing arts.

British singer Jessie J delivered a standout performance in Casablanca on Saturday, July 11, closing the 19th edition of the Jazzablanca Festival. The final night also featured performances by British artist Jorja Smith, Moroccan duo Hind Ennaïra and Omri, and American singer Madison McFerrin.

For the first time, New York’s prestigious SummerStage Festival will dedicate an entire evening to an Arab and African country. On July 15, 2026, the event, titled “Morocco: From Dakhla to Casablanca,” will bring the rich diversity of Moroccan music to Central Park. Led by Youssef Kamal, founder of Maroc Festivals, the initiative will showcase the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and contemporary music scene in the heart of Manhattan.

From Sept. 17 to 20, Casablanca’s RUC Stadium will host the 2026 edition of Tremplin L’Boulevard. Fifteen artists and bands selected across three music categories will perform before a live audience and a panel of industry professionals, competing for prizes in a contest dedicated to promoting Morocco’s emerging contemporary music scene.
