Dam reserves stood at 11.52 billion cubic meters at the end of August, taking the national filling rate to 67.67%—nearly twice the level recorded at the same point last year.
The latest figures published on Sunday, August 30, by Al Ma Dyalna, the Equipment and Water Ministry’s platform, show reservoirs holding 11.52 billion cubic meters out of a total capacity of 17.02 billion.
On August 30, 2025, the filling rate stood at just 33.91%.
Sebou holds more than 4.3 billion cubic meters
Sebou continued to hold the largest volume of water, with more than 4.33 billion cubic meters and an overall filling rate of 80.63%.
Al Wahda, the country’s largest dam, was 84.51% full, holding 2.91 billion cubic meters.
Alal Al Fassi was at 95.55%, Sahla at 92.51%, Bab Louta at 91.19% and Idriss I at 76.54%.
The Oum Er-Rbia basin recorded one of the biggest year-on-year improvements. Its filling rate reached 59.69%, compared with just 10.18% a year earlier, with reserves now exceeding 2.98 billion cubic meters.
Bin El Ouidane was 83.01% full with 1.05 billion cubic meters, while Al Massira held 1.06 billion cubic meters at a filling rate of 40.38%. Sidi Driss stood at 95.79%.

Loukkos, Bouregreg and Tensift above 79%
Loukkos reservoirs held more than 1.56 billion cubic meters, putting the basin’s filling rate at 80.02%.
Several of its dams were around or above 90%, including Dar Khroufa at 91.67%, Khroub at 90.55% and Tangier Med at 90.05%. Chefchaouni Idrissi stood at 89.27%, while Oued El Makhazine was at 72.92%.
Bouregreg reached 79.47%, with nearly 1.17 billion cubic meters in reserve. Tiddas was 90.03% full, Tamesna 80.35% and Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah 75.07%.
Tensift stood at 80.13%, holding 162.79 million cubic meters. Yaacoub Al Mansour was 86.30% full and Abou El Abbas Sebti 85.51%.
Lower levels persist in the south and east
Moulouya recorded a filling rate of 56.71%, with 397.83 million cubic meters in reserve. Oued Za was completely full, while Safsaf stood at 98.90%.
Levels remained lower in Ziz-Ker-Ghris, where reservoirs were 39.72% full with 217.77 million cubic meters. Hassan Addakhil stood at 53.56%.
Draa-Oued Noun held 340.28 million cubic meters at a filling rate of 32.46%, with Akka at 38.73% and Mansour Eddahbi at 38.59%.
Sakia El Hamra-Oued Eddahab recorded a 0% filling rate, with no reserves reported at Al Massira Al Khadra dam.
