Trading at the Casablanca Stock Exchange came to a halt on Thursday morning, September 17, after a technical fault forced the bourse to suspend the session.
The exchange announced it was looking into the incident and working to get trading back to normal.
It did not say what had gone wrong, how much of the session had been affected or when investors could expect trading to resume.
“The trading session today has been temporarily suspended due to a technical incident that occurred this morning,” the exchange said.
It said its teams were trying to identify the source of the problem and take the necessary steps to restart the session, while market participants and investors were being kept informed under the procedures in place.
A fresh statement is expected once trading resumes.
