Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch was received on Sunday in Luanda by Angolan President João Lourenço, on the sidelines of the extraordinary summit of African Union (AU) heads of state and government, held on August 30 in the Angolan capital.
During the audience, Akhannouch conveyed to the Angolan president the fraternal greetings of King Mohammed VI, as well as the King’s sincere wishes for his health and success in carrying out his mandate, and for progress and prosperity for the friendly Angolan people.
The Head of Government also congratulated Angola on the successful organization of the summit, stressing Morocco’s willingness to deepen cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
For his part, the Angolan president asked Akhannouch to convey his warm greetings to King Mohammed VI, along with his wishes for the King’s health and happiness and for further progress and prosperity for the Moroccan people.
The audience was attended by Morocco’s Ambassador to Angola, Saadia Alaoui; Ambassador and Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal; and Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
