Here follows the full statement:
« On the occasion of Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi this year 1448 AH - 2026, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God perpetuate His glory, has granted His Pardon to several individuals convicted by various courts of the Kingdom. These individuals number 619 and are divided as follows:
The detained beneficiaries of the Royal Pardon are 462 and are divided into:
- 13 prisoners who benefited from pardon over their remaining prison terms.
- 449 prisoners who had their prison or confinement terms reduced.
The free beneficiaries of the Royal Pardon are 157 and are divided into:
- 28 individuals who benefited from pardon over their prison sentences or remaining prison terms.
- 13 individuals who benefited from pardon over their prison terms with their fines maintained.
- 112 individuals who had their fines annulled.
- 04 individuals who had both their imprisonment terms and fines annulled.
On this glorious occasion, His Majesty the King, may God preserve Him, has granted His Pardon to several prisoners convicted in cases of extremism and terrorism, who were granted Royal Approval after officially expressing their commitment to the Nation’s principles and sacred values, as well as its national institutions, and after reconsidering their ideological views and rejecting extremism and terrorism. These beneficiaries number 15 individuals, divided as follows:
- 09 detainees who benefited from pardon over their remaining prison terms.
- 06 detainees who had their prison terms reduced."
