According to a security source, the suspect was arrested in the Widaydia Almouwadafin neighborhood based on precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), which helped identify and apprehend him.
The source said preliminary information indicates that the suspect used social media platforms to promote the transportation of people seeking to migrate from Tiznit to northern Morocco, as anonymous calls circulated urging attempts to storm the Ceuta crossing over the weekend.
The competent public prosecutor’s office ordered that the suspect be placed in police custody to allow for further investigation, determine the full circumstances of the case and establish whether he may be linked to other criminal networks before he is brought before the courts.
