Across the Maghreb, Cadi Ayyad University ranked first and also entered the top 30 universities in Africa, placing 1,420th worldwide among more than 32,000 universities included in the ranking.
According to information provided in a university statement, the results reflect Cadi Ayyad University’s continued efforts to strengthen its academic and scientific profile, expand its digital presence and make its scientific and academic resources available nationally and internationally.
The progress extends beyond the Webometrics ranking. The university also features in several other international university rankings published in 2026. It ranked first nationally in the UniRank ranking and second nationally in the CWUR ranking, placing it among the top 5.3% of universities worldwide. It also ranked second nationally in the QS Sustainability Rankings.
