Moroccans get an extra hour in bed this weekend as clocks go back by 60 minutes on Sunday, bringing the country back to Greenwich Mean Time.
At 2am on Sept 20, clocks will be turned back to 1am as the additional hour comes to an end, according to the government.

This time, however, the switch comes after the government decided in late June to end the use of the additional hour and return to GMT.
The change is being made under Decree No. 2.26.530 on legal time, published on June 25, 2026, and Royal Decree No. 455.67 of June 2, 1967.
