In collaboration with the Youth Department of the Casablanca-Settat region, this initiative is part of the agency’s communication and awareness campaign. The campaign aims to promote responsible water usage and combat various forms of waste.

Speaking to MAP, Aziza Bilal, the head of communication and cooperation at ABHBC, explained that the Smart Water Village aims to educate children and encourage behavioral changes by emphasizing water conservation and discouraging wasteful practices.

The awareness campaign involves a variety of digital workshops that include educational videos, quizzes, and competitions to evaluate children’s comprehension and reinforce the lessons learned.

Moreover, the Smart Water Village incorporates a workshop dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of drowning in dam reservoirs. This session features an educational video produced by the agency, followed by a quiz to help children better understand the safety message.

Ferdaous Khallak, the provincial director of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication in Benslimane, highlighted that this initiative is part of the National Summer Camp Program for the current season. The program, organized by the ministry in collaboration with various partners, aims to provide suitable conditions for children and young people.

Khallak commended the dedication of the program’s partners, emphasizing that the camp offers a comprehensive educational experience through themed workshops focused on responsible water consumption and environmental protection. She also underscored the significance of summer camps as environments for learning and personal growth.

In addition to digital workshops on water conservation, which include educational videos, group games, cultural competitions, and interactive quizzes, the Smart Water Village program also offers drawing workshops and activities focused on creating digital content.
