A fire that broke out at a factory in the TAC 1 industrial zone on Friday afternoon spread to two neighbouring factories as strong winds fanned the flames, local authorities said.
The fire started at a factory producing automotive filters in the industrial zone in Jouamaa commune before reaching the two adjoining units.
Workers and employees at nearby factories and other industrial facilities were evacuated, with no loss of life reported.
Civil Protection teams were deployed alongside local and security authorities to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.
Firefighters were still working to extinguish the fire and bring the situation under control as strong winds complicated the operation.
