The holidays are over for Achraf Hakimi, who has returned to Paris Saint-Germain as the club begins preparations for the new season. The Moroccan international, like players across the football world, enjoyed several weeks of rest after the 2026 World Cup, where he helped the Atlas Lions reach the quarter-finals.
In a video posted on PSG’s social media accounts, the Atlas Lions captain can be seen arriving at the club’s Campus, following Désiré Doué, Fabian Ruiz and PSG’s latest signing, Maghnes Akliouche.
Hakimi did not take part in PSG’s pre-season campaign after a particularly demanding year. Since the Club World Cup in July 2025, he has gone on to enjoy a trophy-filled season with PSG, winning the club’s 14th Ligue 1 title and a second UEFA Champions League crown. He also won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco before heading straight into the 2026 World Cup.
It has been a year packed with trophies, experience and emotions for the Atlas Lion, who had already resumed individual training a few days ago in Ibiza alongside his friend Kylian Mbappé.
Now back with his PSG teammates, Hakimi will resume collective training ahead of the start of the season, scheduled for August 23 at the Parc des Princes against Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal’s Stade Rennais.
