Morocco booked their place in the 2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations semifinals with a 7-0 win over Zambia on Wednesday, October 14, at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The Atlas Lions had opened their Group A campaign with a 4-0 victory over Algeria and continued their winning run against Zambia, taking control early and scoring four goals before halftime.
Idriss Raiss El Fenni led the charge with a hat-trick in the first half, while Yanis Ahmed Erraddaf added Morocco’s fourth goal before the break.
Morocco maintained their dominance after halftime, with Raiss El Fenni scoring his fourth goal of the match to extend the lead. Soufian Charraoui and Youssef Jouad then added the sixth and seventh goals shortly before the final whistle.
Zambia tried to reduce the deficit but could not find a way past a well-organized Moroccan defense.
Raiss El Fenni, wearing the No. 14 shirt, was named Player of the Match by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after his four-goal performance.
With two wins from two matches, Morocco have qualified for the semifinals and remain on course for a fourth consecutive continental title.
The Atlas Lions will play their final Group A match against Libya on Friday, October 16, before turning their attention to the semifinals.
