Fresh off an outstanding campaign with Maghreb de Fès, Benjdida joins the Cairo club after finishing as the Botola Pro’s leading scorer last season with 20 goals.

According to a well-informed source, Al Ahly paid €4 million to secure the services of the striker, who was included in Morocco’s preliminary squad for the 2026 World Cup.

The 24-year-old forward, who spent part of his youth career at the Mohammed VI Football Academy before turning professional with Raja Casablanca, was under contract with the reigning Moroccan champions until June 30, 2030.

Benjdida has already had a spell abroad, having played for Standard Liège and RWD Molenbeek in Belgium between 2023 and 2025.

Al Ahly, now coached by Moroccan manager Houcine Ammouta, already features several Moroccan internationals, including Achraf Bencharki, Achraf Dari, Reda Slim and Youssef Belammari.
