Max Verstappen won Saturday’s Singapore Grand Prix Sprint, finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc after a rain-disrupted race marked by several incidents.
Heavy rain delayed the start by around 30 minutes. George Russell overtook polesitter Verstappen at the start but crashed at the final corner on the opening lap, allowing the Dutchman to regain the lead.
Verstappen held on to win by 2.591 seconds over Hamilton, while Leclerc finished third. A late collision between McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri changed the order behind them, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli taking fourth. Norris finished eighth, while Piastri was classified 14th.
Liam Lawson secured fifth place and four points, followed by Haas driver Ollie Bearman in sixth and Audi’s Nico Hulkenberg in seventh.
Attention now turns to qualifying, scheduled for 13:00 to 14:00 Moroccan time, which will determine the starting grid for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.
