The Atlas Lions held their third training session on Wednesday, September 23, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, two days before their match against Gabon in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The national team held the session as part of its preparations for the opening match of the group stage of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Scheduled for late in the day, the session focused on continuing the technical and tactical work in line with the program established by the coaching staff.
Three Atlas Lions joined the Moroccan national team camp on Wednesday. They were Achraf Hakimi, Ismael Saibari and Ilias Akhomach, who was called up by national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi on Tuesday.
Morocco will face Gabon on Friday, September 25, from 7 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said in a statement that Ouahbi’s squad will hold its final training session before the match on Thursday, September 24, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The same statement said a media session is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The first 15 minutes of the training session will be open to the media, who will also have the opportunity to interview some players in the mixed zone.
