A 22-year-old Swedish national wanted under an international arrest warrant issued by the judicial authorities in his country over his involvement in an attempted murder case was arrested in Tangier on Wednesday, September 16, Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said in a statement.

DGSN records 2,404 crashes from September 7 to 13 as police book more than 51,000 traffic violations and collect MAD 9.46 million in fines.

The new DGSN unit will detect and neutralize explosive devices, examine suspicious objects and secure major events, with specialist teams equipped with a bomb-disposal robot and protective gear.
