The arrest was carried out in the afternoon by Tangier judicial police officers, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
An identity check established that the suspect was internationally wanted under an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of Swedish judicial authorities.
The foreign national was also arrested while using a false identity. During an identity check, he presented police with a driver’s license containing falsified identification details.
The suspect was placed in police custody as part of a judicial investigation into forgery and the use of forged documents, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
